Upcycling in Advertising
The printing of advertisements creates a lot of waste. This is one of the dilemmas that both clients and advertising agencies have turned a blind eye to for a long time. So we decided to challenge ourselves to create a calendar for the year 2021, using printed materials from past MINI advertisements that would normally be thrown away.
For this project, we developed the paper firstly.
The original recycled paper, mixed with MINI's past printed materials, has created a calendar with unique colors and rich textures. Each month features the classic and pop colors of the MINI body and an original design. Each month also features a description of MINI's environmental activities.

広告の印刷は多くの廃棄物を生みます。それはクライアントにとっても、広告代理店にとっても長い間見て見ぬふりをしてきたジレンマの一つです。そこで、私たちは、普段なら捨てられてしまうMINIの過去の広告印刷物を使い、2021年のカレンダー作りに挑戦することにしました。本プロジェクトのために、私たちは紙から開発を行いました。MINIの過去の印刷物が織り混ざったオリジナル再生紙によって独特な色や豊かな風合いが楽しめるカレンダーが完成しました。 各月に施されたMINIのクラシカルでポップな車体カラーと、オリジナル・デザインも必見。各月に、MINIの環境取り組みへの活動も紹介されています。このプロジェクトは、MINIの日本におけるサスティナビリティPR活動の第一弾としてロンチされました。
